Paneer Tikka Skewers

for paneer tikka marination:

  • 200 grams everest low fat yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste or crushed ginger-garlic
  • 1 teaspoon carom seeds, 1 to 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds powder and coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mango powder (amchur powder)
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder, optional
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • regular salt as required
Preparation:

chop the paneer in square shaped cubes. veggies also should be chopped in square shapes.

making marination for paneer tikka:

  • in a large bowl, take the yoghurt and whisk it till it becomes smooth
  • add ginger garlic paste and all the spice powders.
  • add the veggies and paneer to the marinade.
  • marinate for atleast 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • bring the marinated paneer and veggies to room temperature.
  • skewer the veggies and paneer alternately on skewers or tooth picks.



making paneer tikka:

  • Preheat the oven for 15 minutes at 240 degree celsius.
  • Arrange the paneer skewers. brush some oil on the veggies and paneer.
  • bake the paneer tikka for 15 to 20 minutes at 240 degree celsius till golden brown
  • arrange the panner tikka on a plate. sprinkle some chaat masala and lemon juice on paneer tikka.
  • Serve with mint chutney and chilli sauce.
